19. Lake Glendale Fishing

For fishing, Lake Glendale is a treasure here on the Shawnee National Forest. It’s an 80 acre clearwater lake with various types of fish available to reel in. You might see a crappie, sunfish or one of many types of bass…..and that’s just to name a few possibilities. Compared to some lakes in the area, Lake Glendale is a quiet lake; you can use up to a 10 horsepower motor to load and unload but once on the lake – trolling motor only. And while we’re talking about the rules, please remember that swimming is only allowed in the beach area of the lake. If you don’t have a boat but want to get out and enjoy the lake by either fishing, taking pictures or just relaxing the day away, don’t worry – the concessionaire at Lake Glendale rents not only paddle boats but also canoes and rowboats
